The perfect intro to Mindfulness. Join Michelle DuVal, MA, in this dynamic day session as she covers the essential elements of mindfulness practice: What it is, how to do it in our daily lives for real stress reduction, and how it can help with sleep issues, weight issues, as well as chronic worry, anxiety and depression.  With time to practice a variety of meditations – breathing, walking, eating, and lying down (great for sleep issues!).

Also included with the Day Course is access to our 3 part online program The Starter Kit in Mindfulness.  Each part in the series comes with video instruction on mindfulness meditation, 6 downloadable guided meditations to start and sustain your practice (yours to keep!), as well as weekly assignments to help you set up a proven approach to using mindfulness for very real stress reduction.

Body Scan for Relaxation

The next best thing to sleep is rest. If you can use this meditation to help you move into a state of rest, you are at least now moving in a good direction. So don't be discouraged if it doesn't put you right to sleep. Use it to put you to rest, and then see what happens.
