Going on retreat is a critical aspect of developing your mind.
Master Class participants are required/ strongly encouraged to participate in at least one retreat with The Mindful Center during their program, and for those wishing to teach mindfulness, there are options to facilitate certain workshops/ experiences while on retreat.

Due to the ever-evolving Covid19 situation, at this time we are scheduling the day retreats to be done virtually, and 3 day silent Ghost Ranch retreats to be done all outdoors, and at this time we have 1 weeklong destination retreat scheduled at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala – one of the top 10 most beautiful lakes in the world – for December 5 – 12, 2021.

1. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Half Day Retreats, via ZOOM
2. Three Day Silent Retreats at Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, New Mexico
3. Bosque Balloon Fiesta Retreat in Albuquerque, NM – Covid19 dependent
4. Family Retreats – Covid19 dependent
5. International Destination Retreats – 1 scheduled at Lake Atitlan, Dec. 5 – 12, 2021

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Half Day Virtual Retreats

10am – 1pm VIA ZOOM
2021 Dates: TBD (typically 4 retreats spread throughout the year)

Regular Cost: $40  Cost for Master Class Participants: $Free

A perfect half-day just for meditation. The day is divided into guided meditation practice, yoga/ moving meditation practice, eating meditation, and silent meditation. Participants should know how to meditate, as this is a day for practice and no instruction will be given.

3-Day Silent Meditation Retreats at Ghost Ranch

6pm Friday – 1pm Sunday
2021 Dates: TBD (typically 1 retreat in May and 1 retreat in August)

Regular Cost: $599  Cost for Master Class Participants: $487

The 3-Day Silent Meditation Retreat is an intensive meditation retreat-course designed both for those who want to have a taste of a meditation retreat and those who don’t have enough time to experience a 10 day retreat. Both beginners and advanced practitioners of meditation are welcome to dive into the beauty of meditation, gentle yoga, walking meditation in an outdoor labyrinth, and the incredible beauty, mountain ranges, and hiking paths of Ghost Ranch.

Morning session:
7:00 – 8:30 Meditation
8:30 – 9:30 Breakfast
9:30 – 10:30 Bathing and Personal Time
10:30 – 12 Meditation
12 – 1 Lunch

Afternoon session:
1:30 – 5:00 Meditation
5:30 – 6:30 Dinner
6:30 – 7 Bathing and Personal Time
7 – 8 Meditation
8 – 9 Discussion and Connection

Teaching Mindfulness Bosque Retreat

6pm Thursday – 11am Monday
at the gorgeous Bosque Retreat Center
2021 Dates: TBD (typically in October)

*includes a 4 night stay at the Bosque Retreat Center, 10 meals, and VIP access to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Few images denote freedom like that of a balloon floating effortlessly in the sky.  The focus of this particular Insight retreat is freedom and how to use meditation to free yourself from old habits of mental clinging, fear, confusion, and depression.  We’ll use the incredible backdrop of the largest balloon fiesta in the world to inspire our practice.  Retreat includes 1 VIP ticket to the Balloon Fiesta Opening Day Ascension, + 1 ticket to Balloon Fiesta Night Glow.

Family Retreat

Boulder, Colorado

*includes a 3 night stay at our hotel in Boulder + 7 meals

 This retreat is for families – mums with kids, dads with teens, caregivers with their littles, and everyone in between. We lodge in Boulder, then head onto an incredible private property with over 100 acres of gorgeous mountains, plains, rivers and sky for the day’s retreat experiences. Activities includes mindfulness in all shapes and sizes, games, and workshops designed to help us reconnect with our children and us with them. Separated time for parents to connect with other parents over real life strategies to incorporate more mindfulness into their daily life, and kids will be sent out to be kids again in the great outdoors. Co-host: Monica Marie Fitzgerald, Senior Associate Researcher at UC- Boulder and the Director of the Center for Resilience and Wellbeing in Schools, and the Positive Youth Development Program.

International Destination Retreats
