So in my 17+ years of teaching mindfulness meditation in the US, the #1 issue that almost all of my students struggle with is meditating on a daily basis.
In fact, just yesterday one of my students said to me, “I know I want this. I want to feel better. But sometimes I just can’t seem to make myself meditate!”
Do you relate?
It’s like we want to feel and be healthy, but then we keep on eating those munchies like there’s no tomorrow.
There’s a reason for this. It’s because it’s familiar.
One of the best meditation teachers I’ve ever had used to say, “Never underestimate the power of familiarity. It’s an incredibly powerful force when it comes to the mind.”
Truer words have never been spoken.
This is why we eat foods that we know are bad for us… it’s familiar.
This is why we stay in relationships that are toxic and hurtful… it’s familiar.
And it’s the #1 reason why most people struggle with daily meditation, because living a stressful life is what is now most familiar to us.
But guess what? The beautiful thing about familiarity is that you can make something else familiar just by doing it again and again.
So just as stress has become familiar to you… so can a peaceful life.
Through constant meditation practice with me, you get familiar with peace. Until peace becomes second nature to you…. instead of stress.
And then everything changes for the better.
In this short video (2 minutes) I go into one of the biggest mistakes people make in trying to meditate daily, because I don’t want you to be making it and letting it stop you from changing your life with me through meditation.
It can help you… I promise.
With tons of love,
Michelle
