THIS WEEK’S FOCUS is on RELEASING SELF-JUDGMENT.

Many of us feel the sting of judgment most prominently
when we turn our fault finding minds toward ourselves.

When self criticism and judgment is the norm inside our heads,
we can feel unsafe and unloved, even when our
external conditions are the exact opposite.

It’s like having a jerky roommate living inside your head,
following you around everywhere you go
(even in the shower!)
and pointing out every single one of your flaws.

Over time, it becomes the dominant voice,
drowning out the other voices of peace, love, and acceptance.

Unless we spend some focused time and energy releasing these habits of mind,
they will do what habits do –
perpetuate.

This week we’ll focus on practice designed to
soften and release our habits of self judgment.
And the more consistently you do them,
the stronger they hold;
the greater they stick.

Practices of self gratitude, love, and self awareness work to reduce and release
habits of self criticism and judgment, but only if you keep doing them.

I’ll set the framework this week for consistent practice.
My invitation to you is to engage as best you can,
giving yourself the opportunity to begin to live without the
monster-roommate inside your head.

Finding some quiet, some peace, and some acknowledgment
for the good hard work you’ve done throughout your life
is what you deserve – let’s find it together this week.

Yes! Every week we show you what’s coming up new in the upcoming week, and then we change out the workshop excerpts, video teachings, and the featured guided meditations each month. 

At the top of this page is an orange button called All Membership Guided Meditations.  Also, directly above this FAQ section is a smaller curated sample of Guided Meditations we think go well with this month’s content.  Or, if you know which workshop it was a part of, you can click hte orange button at the top of the screen called Library, and you can scroll through the workshops until you find the one you’re looking for, and once you open that workshop you’ll find the associated guided meditations.  So there’s more than one way to (hopefully) find what you’re looking for.

Follow these simple steps:

#1: Log in to Life on Mindfulness

#2: Once logged in, from your dashboard (the screen that says Welcome Back + Your Name) click My Account, then from the left hand menu, click My Account Details.

#3: Review and update personal information and/or change password.

#4: Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the screen.

Follow these simple steps:

#1: Log in to Life on Mindfulness

#2: Once logged in, from your dashboard (the screen that says Welcome Back + Your Name) click My Account, then from the left hand menu, click Update Billing Address.

#3: Click Edit, which can be found on the right side of the screen next to your current billing address.

#4: Make your changes, then be sure to check the box at the bottom that says “Update the Billing Address used for all future renewals of my active subscriptions.”

#5: Click “Save Address” at the bottom of the screen.

Sometimes people have issues with the videos playing, or the guided meditations, or sometimes it just seems like things are wonky. There are a few simple reasons this happens, and they are easy to solve.

1.Please check that you are using the most current version of your browser.  If you are unsure, you can go here to check which browser you are using and what version: https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/

Then, if you need to you can: 1st: Update your browser 2nd: Refresh your browser

2. Clear your Cache – See below for the simple video on How to Clear Your Cache – which is by far the #1 issue that people have. BY FAR.

What happens is that people’s browsers save old versions of websites in what’s called cache, so that when you log in to a website that you’ve been to before, it loads faster. But when changes are made to the website itself, when your browser pulls up an older version of that now-changed website, it can get you caught in the dreaded “Your website isn’t working for me” space.

It’s really easy to clear your cache, takes probably less than a minute….if you don’t know how to do it, you can either google Clear Cache on (whatever browser you’re using, Chrome or Safari or whatever) and google will give you the steps. I also made a video about it (see below) as it’s such a common issue to have.  You won’t have to do this all the time, once should last you a really long time.

Follow these simple steps:

#1: Log in to Life on Mindfulness

#2: Once logged in, from your dashboard (the screen that says Welcome Back + Your Name) click My Account, then from the left hand menu, click My Subscription.

#3: Click “View.

#4: From the next screen, click “Cancel.”

Settling the Mind on the Breath Meditation

Breathing can be an immediate tool for calming the central nervous system. This short meditation can be done anytime, anywhere you want to take things down a notch and ease your stress.

SLEEP ISSUES
Middle of the Night Meditation

The next best thing to sleep is rest. If you can use this meditation to help you move into a state of rest, you are at least now moving in a good direction. So don't be discouraged if it doesn't put you right to sleep. Use it to put you to rest, and then see what happens.
