I’ve never heard a statistic before like the one I’m about to share with you here: of the people who live to be at least 76 years old, 100% of them will experience sleep issues.

100%!

Usually statistical data will give a percentage, and I’ve NEVER seen one published that was at 100%! NEVER!

So guess what this means?

1. You will probably experience sleep issues at some point in your life (lucky us!)
2. You are NOT alone.

One of the newest and most promising areas of mindfulness exploration and research comes in the realm of sleep, and in my live sleep programs, I teach people how to use mindfulness and meditation to do three main things:

1. Engage the mind. (If you’re wondering why this would help with sleep, watch this video)
2. Help move our brains into states more conducive for sleep
3. Help move our bodies into states of greater rest and relaxation, the precursors to sleep

In today’s short video – @5 minutes – I touch into a few specific ways mindfulness can help you with sleep, as well as a few ways to begin a practice that’s directed specifically toward helping you sleep.

I hope these tips gives you hope…there is something we can do besides take pills that can help us sleep.
With tons of love,
Michelle
